Rob has more than 15 years of cross-functional experience in the pharmaceutical, medical device and clinical laboratory science industries. He has previously held positions at several New York-based global communications agencies where he served as the day-to-day account lead and managed a variety of public relations and marketing communications projects for specialty pharmaceutical, medical device and molecular diagnostics companies. He has broad category experience, including neurology, oncology, dermatology, infectious diseases, respiratory medicine, medical imaging, gastroenterology and surgical instrumentation. Rob previously served as Manager, U.S. Medical Affairs at Pfizer, Inc., where he concentrated on developing effective external corporate alliances with key stakeholders from industry, academic medicine and organized medical societies, in addition to supporting communications initiatives for Pfizer’s Medical Division. He also held project management, marketing and business development roles of increasing responsibility with Cangen Biotechnologies, a privately held biotechnology firm focused on developing and marketing laboratory-based products for early cancer detection. Rob also worked as a bench scientist in a U.S. military-sponsored research laboratory, where he worked on projects evaluating the efficacy of novel molecular diagnostics related to rapid infectious disease detection. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biological psychology/neuroscience from the College of William & Mary and a Master of Arts degree in medical sciences from the Boston University School of Medicine. He has also completed graduate-level coursework at Johns Hopkins University.
